Annual Gathering 2007 falls on 30th December 2007(Sunday) at SMK Kuching High. The objective of this gathering is to gather teachers, ex-leaders, leaders and members for a better relationship. All the teacher-in-charge, ex-leaders,leaders and member are most welcome!

Talenteen Star Search 2007 was organized by St. Joseph School which was on 8 December 2007 at Tan Sri William Tan Auditorium. In this competition, our school has won few prizes for different categories. Those prizes are as follow:

Kem Jaya Diri 2007

Kuching High School Red Crescent Youth Unit will be organizing Kem Jaya Diri 2007, a district level training camp.

Below are the details of the Camp :
Date : 18-19 December 2007
Venue : SMK Kuching High
Participants : Youth Members (aged between 13 and 17 years old)
Registration fee : RM 25 per participant

The objectives of the Camp are as follows :

1. To instill leadership qualities, discipline and team work among the camp participants.


2. To share experience and knowledge among Red Crescent Youth Members from different schools in Kuching, Sarawak.


3. To foster better understanding and friendship among Red Crescent Youth Members in Kuching, Sarawak.

All old members of Kuching High School Red Crescent Youth Unit are to participate in this Camp. Those who are not able to join, please issue letter with the reasons stated.

Kem Chung Hua Ke-16 Miri

The 16th Kem Chung Hua was organized by Chung Hua Miri Youth Unit on 29 November 2007 till 3 December 2007 at Miri Chapter. The durations for the camp was 5 days 4 night. Our youth unit has sent 5 representatives- Geraldine Lim, Tay Ee Hui, Jenna Chai, Jong Liang Yuan and Lai Teck Hieng. It was a good experience to participate in this camp as it has different games and new things to learn. Our representatives has won few prizes as follows:

Talenteen Star Search 2007

On this saturday(8 December 2007), our unit will be participated in the Talenteen Star Search 2007 organized by RCYU No.3, at the hall of SMB St. Joseph. The competition will start at 1pm. We will be sending 2 dancing teams, 1 sketch team, 2 solo singing and 2 group singing. The tickets can be bought on that day and each cost RM6. Hope that ex-leaders, leaders and members can come and support us on that day and good luck to all the participants!!! Gambateh!

There will be Weekly Meeting on coming Saturday ( 17 November 2007) as usual at Block 3. The time is 2 pm to 5 pm. Attendance is COMPULSORY!! Outward Bound Camp 2007

This wednesday and thursday(14&15 November 2007) will be our Outward Bound Camp 2007. This camp will be taking place at Permai, Kuching. All members and committee involved are requested to arrive before 7.30am at SMK Kuching High. We will back on the next day(thursday) afternoon. Enjoy the trip!!

Marching Course 2007

The Marching Course 2007 was successfully held on 27,28 October and 3,4 November 2007 at SMK Kuching High. The objectives of organizing this training are:-

• To increase our members marching skill
• To train our members' co-operation and self-discipline
• To foster relationship between members

Red Crescent Donation Draw

During this November and December, we will distribute the Red Crescent Donation Draw tickets to all the members. This draw will be held on 29th December 2007. All the members are encourage to sell all the tickets that have been given to them. The Leaders-In-Charge are Agnes Tan and Fong Chung Sien. Please do not lost the tickets or else member will have to pay for it.

First Aid In The Community 2nd Round Mass Exam

First Aid In The Community 2nd Round Mass Exam(FAITC) will be held on 20th and 21st October 2007.
The theory exam will be on 20th October from 2 pm till 3 pm. The oral and practical exam will be on 21st October start from 8 am. All the candidates are requested to learn their first aid in order to pass this examination.

Jog-a-thon 2007

We are having Jog-a-thon 2007 on this October and November. The leaders-in-charge of this project are Jong Liang Yuan and Tan Yen Haw. Here are some reminders for all leaders and members.

• Form 4 Leaders and Form 3 Members must collect a minimum amount of RM50.
• Form 5 Leaders ,Form 2 and Form 1 Members must collect a minimum amount of RM40.
• A sum of RM100.00 will be charged on those who lost the card.
• Please hand in the card to Jong Liang Yuan or Tan Yen Haw the lastest on 12 November 2007(or within the week).
• Please ensure that the name and address of the Sponsor(s) are clearly entered.
• All sponsor card holders are to make sure that there is no erasing of Name of Sponsor or Amount entered or Participant's name on the Sponsor Card/Entry Form.
• Prizes will be given to five(5) persons who collect the highest amount of the sponsor fee.
• Punishment will be given to those who fail to collect the targeted amount.

Inter Youth Unit Foot Drill Competition 2007

On the 25 of August, our Unit had participated in the Inter Youth Unit Foot Drill Competition 2007 hosted by RCYU No.6, SMK Green Road. We had sent 5 teams to take part in all the Bahagian. In Bahagian B, it is for small uniform girls team, Bahagian C is for small uniform boys team, Bahagian D is for big non-uniform team, Bahagian E is for small non-uniform girls team and lastly is Bahagian F for small non-uniform boys team. We had won Champion in all the Bahagian. Our team for Bahagian C also won the Best Uniform and the commander for Bahagian B, Ms. Tay Ee Hui had won the Best Commander. Besides, RCYU No.4, SMK Kuching High had won the Overall Champion! Congratulations..

Volunteers’ Recognition Night 2007

踏入 Penview Inn, 我就告诉自己”今天一定是我最快乐的一天.今天我终于可以拿到自己的awards了…”但是,事情终不是这样……

一到我们遇到Pn Lim的时候,她已经跟我们说我们的机会太渺小了…连被nominate的名单内都没有…那时我们的心已很慌了…就连自己晚餐吃什么都不知道…很迷糊…心情超烂的…

果然,在公布Best Youth Unit时,被念出来的学校不是我们……不是SMK Kuching High了…几年的心血都白费了…

回想从中一开始,虽然大家都很小,但是大伙儿还是很努力的把一切拼回来越来越大了,大家才真正了解RC…还在RC的日子时,大家几乎每天都被RC压着,呼吸都困难…星期六日更不用说…在这段辛苦的日子里,大伙儿当中发生了非常多的事情…伤心的,快乐的,烦燥的…但是大家心里只有一个目标…

好多年的历史,忽然被今年弄断了…每一年的leaders都非常努力的跟着这个历史,希望不会断掉…很多人可能会说,为何每年都要拿?那是不一样的…每年都有不一样的人努力,不一样的人付出…大伙儿们还和老师说我们一定会赢回,看来今年不能了…若明年还能拿的话,拿就要从第一年算起了…就因为我们这一年,就因为我们不好…我们破坏了那光荣的历史,我们让大家失望了…看到朋友快落泪了,我的心如刀割…一滴一滴掉下…在这人生中创下那黑暗的回忆…

好多朋友都觉得我们很傻,为unit这么努力.再多的讥笑都好,我们都不曾放弃…为了的都是那个目的…如今,再多的personal awards,也顶不过那个牌……坐在那儿,远远地看着那个牌,牌上不再刻着我们学校的名字了…今年破记录…不错…老师说了,是因为training不够多…我这个first aid trainer算失败了…就连inter chapter first aid competition都赢不回来,老师说若赢得回的话可能还有希望…对不起,我没有在那比赛赢得第一…对不起…

希望大伙儿们不要伤心了…事情已经过去了…虽然大家都很心疼,但是别间学校真是比我们好许多…我们应该再多努力…虽然老师很看重我们这一年,但是”奇迹”还是出现…大家…一起忘了吧…今早不知要怎么入眠了…

一踏出 Penview Inn,我就告诉自己”今天一定是我最伤心的一天…”心真的很疼…对不起大家,我们让你们失望了……
